Lagniappe it up at Barnes and Noble

Barnes & Noble is throwing a book bash, and everyone’s invited. Head to their Citiplace location at 2 p.m. Saturday for a book signing by Pulitzer-winning author Jeffrey Marx, who will be autographing copies of his newest title, The Long Snapper: A Second Chance, A Super Bowl, A Lesson for Life. He’ll be joined by former LSU player and Super Bowl champion Brian Kinchen, who will also be available for autographs and photos. Then, at 6 p.m., a bevy of local authors—Chere Coen, Karl Breaux, Danny Heitman, Petra Munro Hendry, Jay D. Edwards, Jerald Horst, Barry Keim, Robert Muller, and Mark Martin—will show up to sign copies of their works. Children’s authors Sheila Hebert-Collins and Diane de las Casas (with illustrator Marita Gentry) will hold signings, storytimes, and sketching, and kids can even visit with some furry friends from the Baton Rouge Zoo. Don’t miss this lively literary event. Free to the public.
