La vie boheme at LSU Opera
-
The talented singers of the LSU Opera will present Puccini’s most famous opera, La bohčme, at the Shaver Theatre this Thursday through Sunday. Recounting the lives of a group of young bohemians living in Paris in the early 19th century, it focuses especially on two young lovers: the poet Rodolfo and the seamstress, Mimi. Although they fall in love hard and fast, Rodolfo soon grows wearied of Mimi’s flirtatious behavior, and fears what seems to be her inevitable death from tuberculosis. Will the lovers reunite before it’s too late? Tickets are $15-$30 at music.lsu.edu.
