La Divina Italian Café shows off menu, announces opening date

An artisanal Italian café, coffee and gelato shop will open its first Baton Rouge location in November. La Divina Italian Café will open Friday, Nov. 8, in the new Acadian Village Shopping Center on Perkins Road (Map it!).

The café will feature fresh-made drinks with house-made syrups as well as authentic Italian espresso drinks, gelato and sorbetto crafted from scratch daily, paninis, salads, soups and a few sides.

Among the panini choices are the La Rocca with sliced roast beef, gorgonzola, sautéed greens and roasted garlic spread; the Bianca with herb-roasted chicken, grilled zucchini, mozzarella cheese and thin sliced red onion; and the Piazza with smoked turkey, pancetta, avocado, tomato and aged provolone.

The café’s hours are 7 a.m.-9 p.m., Monday-Saturday, and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, click here.—Matthew Sigur
