Krewe of Orion to celebrate with Dr. John – The singer performs at the River Center Feb. 22

Baton Rouge’s Krewe of Orion has announced that Dr. John will perform at the Krewe’s Masquerade Ball next year.

The Krewe of Orion will roll through downtown Baton Rouge Saturday, Feb. 22, for the 2014 Mardi Gras Celebration. The Krewe’s parade route runs through downtown and finishes right in the middle of the River Center and culminates with the ball.

Dr. John, the six-time Grammy winner, will bring his special brand of music to the ball. The CJ Solar Band will open the show. Both performances take place at the River Center. Ticket prices and more information will be available here.

Patrons will need to contact a Krewe Member to obtain a ticket order form or contact the Krewe through Facebook.

Dr. John won his sixth Grammy award last year for his album, Locked Down.
