‘King’ for a day
One of Shakespeare’s greatest works, King Lear, comes to life starting this Wednesday the Swine Palace stage this month, under the directorship of the Illinois Shakespeare Festival’s Deb Ailey. This brilliant story about a dying king and the squabbles of his three daughters plays out against a multilayered background of familial love and betrayal. 7:30 p.m. with 2:30 p.m. matinee shows on Sundays. swinepalace.org
