Killers watch the stars
Twin Killers is known for its experimental rock sound, as well as a penchant for creating unique stage performances. So it was inevitable the local quartet, led by singer Jessica Ramsey’s vocal acrobatics, would eventually team up with the Louisiana Art & Science Museum for a multimedia show in the Planetarium. Guitarist Andrew Martin says the Dec. 7 show, also featuring The Lazarus Heart, has been in the works for a year. The Planetarium’s crew is providing the visuals on the dome, and the band will showcase all new material. “We’re evolving in a way,” Martin says. “Our older music was way more erratic, but with these new songs, there’s a lot more room in them, a lot more space. It’s more suitable for the visuals.” The show went on sale in early November and with only 170 seats, it’s expected to sell out. Claire Sassic, operations manager at the museum, says they want to do more shows like this in the future, utilizing the Planetarium’s technology coupled with live performances. “Hopefully, this will be the start of a new Planetarium experience for visitors,” Sassic says. facebook.com/twinkillersmusic, lasm.org
