‘Killer’ instinct

Based loosely on the similarly titled James Caan action flick from the mid-1970s, The Killer Elite stars Robert DeNiro, Clive Owen and reigning B-movie action hero Jason Statham in a shoot-em-up double-cross thriller. When an elite English spy discovers his mentor has been kidnapped, he must dispatch of three deadly assassins on his way to freeing his friend from the hands of a terrorist. Yvonne Strahovski and Dominic Purcell co-star. Rated R.
