Kerry Beary – Atomic Pop Shop co-owner on Baton Rouge

“I would start my day bright and early with a walk with my hubby (Jeff, pictured) and my four dogs at our neighborhood park.

My next destination would be Mid City. I would stop in at my shop to greet the new shipment of vinyl, which is one of my favorite things about owning a record shop. Next would be a trip to the thrift store Time Warp, to see what’s new and do a little shopping. Around noon, I would meet friends for lunch at Serop’s and then take a bike ride through Capital Heights or make a trip over to Celebration Station to ride go carts.

My afternoon would be spent working in my studio and then grabbing dinner at Chelsea’s Café—the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup—and then catch a live show there or at Spanish Moon.

Finally, a night cap at Radio Bar would be the perfect end to the perfect day.”
