Keeping the ‘Minutes’

When two wannabe bank robbers harness a live bomb to the chest of their unwitting pizza delivery guy madcap comedy ensues in this Friday’s 30 Minutes or Less. Academy Award-nominated The Social Network star Jesse Eisenberg—reuniting here with his Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer—plays the neurotic twentysomething made absolutely frantic when he is kidnapped by sadistic, if somewhat witless, thugs-in-the-making played by Pineapple Express’ Danny McBride and veteran stand-up comedian and character actor Nick Swardson. With only a few hours before the bomb detonates, Eisenberg must figure out a way to either stop these criminals or successfully hold up a bank. Either task will be difficult for him and his best friend, a schoolteacher played by Parks & Recreation scene-stealer Aziz Ansari. Rated R. (Photo by Wilson Webb)
