Jambo! Tales from Africa

Thursday night, join the New Venture Theatre as they present Jambo! Tales from Africa at the Independence Park Theatre. A group of children from an African village awaken the Orisha, a deity who shares with them three stories of people and animals who find themselves in situations they must use their clever minds to escape. Each tale is taken directly from the stories passed down from the folklore of many nations and cultures, including that of East Africa, Kenya, and the Kalahari Bushmen, and offer simple lessons for children of all ages. 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for students at newventuretheatre.com.
