Ivanhoe Music Festival stretches over two days

Some of the area’s finest bands line the bill for the Ivanhoe Music Festival this weekend. The free rock bonanza at 3253 Ivanhoe St., the State Street neighborhood near the North Gates of LSU campus, kicks off at noon Saturday with Torn & Frayed. Other Saturday highlights include Hollywood Blues at 7 p.m., followed by Righteous Buddha at 8 p.m. The day ends with Black Sound Parade at 9 p.m. On Sunday, you won’t want to miss We Landed on the Moon! at 5 p.m., Elsah at 7 p.m., and Man Plus Building at 8 p.m. The show ends with a performance from Lake Charles’ premiere funk band, Lingus. See the entire line-up here. People are allowed to bring their own ice chests with drinks. (Photo courtesy We Landed on the Moon!)
