Insta-style – Tips for posting your game-day shots on Instagram

1. Are you a guy? If so, don’t take a selfie on game day. Keep your head in the game or on tailgating shenanigans. If you must, go for a group “bro pic” instead.
2. Ladies, no “duck lips.” In fact, puckering of any kind is only semi-acceptable when performed with a group of women and in a visibly ironic fashion.
3. No throwing of signs-peace, deuces, gang, etc. Selfies are about a message. They’re about yourself. Own up to that.

Rise. This filter softens the light in your images, so try it on any tailgating photos taken around midday when sunlight is harshest.
Sutro. If your game-day photos are too brightly lit or the whites and blacks are very contrasted, try this smoky filter that mellows warm hues and boosts the cooler ones, making purple game-day attire really pop.
Kelvin. With its golden glow, Kelvin is most helpful if your tailgate photos were taken in the dark shady oaks on campus, and the effect blends perfectly with team colors.
