In Gonzales, it’s all about jambalaya

The Louisiana adage goes, “If you’re looking for something to do on the weekend, there’s probably a festival happening somewhere in the state.” This weekend, Gonzales provides the proof with its 46th annual Jambalaya Festival. The free event includes live music, carnival rides and a jambalaya cook-off where the best of the best face off using a strict list of ingredients. The fun begins Thursday at the fairgrounds.
