‘Hugo’ Boss

It earned five Oscars on Sunday, and now Hugo, Martin Scorsese’s first PG film in 18 years and his first made specifically for children and families is available on Blu-ray and DVD. A fantastical story set in 1930s Paris, Hugo follows a young orphan on a whimsical adventure to reconnect with his deceased inventor father. Living within the walls of a bustling train station, Hugo meets a young girl named Isabelle and together they seek answers to the mystery surrounding a key, a robot and a secret message from his father. Asa Butterfield and Chloe Moretz play the young leads, while Jude Law appears in flashbacks as Hugo’s father, Sacha Baron Cohen co-stars as a station worker and Ben Kingsley plays the embittered owner of the station’s toy shop. Rated PG.
