Huey’s hosts grand opening Friday

A new craft cocktail bar opens its doors this weekend. Huey’s Bar (Map it!) hosts its grand opening at 8 p.m. Friday, showing off its diverse cocktail, beer and wine list as well as an updated décor. Inside, the atmosphere is cozy, with booth and bar seating, and the walls are decked with political photos and signs of the times. The location is the former M Bar, and its owners—Andrew Bayard, Christian Walther and Metro Council member and attorney John Delgado—want to steer clear of the club scene down the road. “The focus is on high energy and handmade cocktails with fresh juices,” Bayard says.
