Hot nights, cool jazz

The LSU School of Music presents their ever-popular “Hot Summer Nights, Cool Jazz” series at the School of Music Recital Hall, starting this Thursday. Featuring the talents of the LSU Faculty Jazz Trio, Brian Shaw on trumpet, Bill Grimes on bass, and local drummer Troy Davis. Special guests will visit the stage through the series, from vocalist Phillip Manuel to saxophonist Dave Glasser. Running through July 20, this series will scratch your every jazz itch.
