Hot licks and cool tunes at LSU

The LSU School of Music continues the ever-popular “Hot Summer Nights, Cool Jazz” series at the School of Music Recital Hall on Thursday and Friday night. Thursday, alto saxophonist Dave Glasser joins Brian Shaw, Bill Grimes, Willis Delony and Troy Davis onstage for the “Bebop and Beyond” show. Then on Friday, “The New Orleans Connection” comes to the Capitol City as Don Vappie brings his guitar and banjo to the Recital Hall stage to join Brian Shaw, Bill Grimes, Willis Delony and Troy Davis.
