Hot for ‘Teacher’

Cameron Diaz is everything a qualified educator should not be in the recent comedy Bad Teacher, out this week on DVD. As a foul-mouthed hothead, Diaz plays a woman who is dumped by her sugar daddy and takes a gig at a junior high school to pay the bills before targeting a young and wealthy educator as her next beau. Directed by Jake Kasdan and written by two scribes from The Office, Bad Teacher co-stars Justin Timberlake as the object of Diaz’s shallow affections and Jason Segel as a much-loved teacher at the school who butts heads with the hard-edged Diaz. Lynn Davies, John Michael Higgins, and Lucy Punch co-star. Rated R.
