Hollywood Trucks’ Ecoluxe trailer – Go inside where the ‘Fantastic Four’ cast relaxes on set
Since 2007, Baton Rouge-based Hollywood Trucks has steadily grown into a major motion picture player, supplying crew and gear vehicles as well as cast trailers for dozens of movies and A-list stars, including Ben Affleck and Sir Anthony Hopkins. Founder and managing partner Andre Champagne oversaw the design of the high-tech Ecoluxe trailer, being used by the new Terminator film in New Orleans and Fantastic Four in Baton Rouge. Here, Champagne gives 225 a quick tour of the trailer’s features, inside and out.

1. Panoramic windows. We worked with Hehr to design custom panoramic privacy windows for the Ecoluxe trailer. These windows let a ton of light in while blocking harmful UV rays. Not only do these windows make the trailer feel more like a real home, but they make it more energy-efficient by limiting the amount of artificial light needed inside.

2. Solar panels. The roof is lined with solar panels to minimize the need for a generator or external electric sources. Right now, the Ecoluxe trailer is about 50% off the grid. Our goal is to get to 100%.
3. Clean diesel generators. We wanted to make sure that our generators ran on the most environmentally friendly fuel available, so we use the world’s cleanest renewable bio-diesel thanks to a partnership with another Louisiana company, Dynamic Fuels.
4. Recycled aluminum doors. Recycled aluminum doors replace the traditional RV style and give the Ecoluxe line an eco-friendly, ultra contemporary look that A-list stars love.

5. Chic “green” interior. The sophisticated and modern interior was designed by noted southern interior decorator Ann Carter. Energy efficient, low-voltage LED lighting illuminates the countertops that are made entirely from post-consumer recycled plastics. The hugewrap around couch is covered in eco-friendly fabric and faces massive mirrored walls that allow stars to easily check out their wardrobe or touch-up their make-up.
6. Technology. The Ecoluxe trailer is filled with the latest technology from iPads and iMacs to flat-screen Samsung Smart TVs and high-speed internet in every room. The best part is that it’s all completely wireless and controlled from your smart phone.
