The Food Bank wrapped up its Thanksgiving Distributions to member agencies last week, so now they’re stocking up for Christmas. Some of the most-needed items include stuffing mixes, pasta, rice, beans, cake mixes and anything that would go to make a holiday meal. Volunteers are needed Wednesday, November 22 at 6 p.m. to help set up for the big Thanksgiving Together dinner, held at the Baton Rouge River Center. If you want to help out on Thanksgiving Day, get to the River Center at 9 a.m. to help serve food, and then rise above and beyond by sticking around to help cleanup.

Make a donation to Hospice of Baton Rouge by purchasing lights of tribute for a loved one. Lights can be purchased for donations of $25, and all proceeds go to the Patient Care Fund. The 2nd Annual Trees of Light Ceremony will be held on Sunday, December 3, at 5:30 p.m. on the Plaza of the Shaw Center. >>More
