High-flying fun in Baton Rouge
Fun takes off in the Capitol City again with the Pennington Balloon Championship, taking place this Friday through Sunday on the grounds outside the Pennington Biomedical Research Center. Giant, colorful hot air balloons will soar through the skies of the Red Stick daily, while below Baton Rougeans can dance, eat and party all through the weekend. A children’s village will be set up for kids to bounce, slide, climb and play, and the evening sky will be lit by a nightly synchronized balloon glow as well as a dramatic fireworks display. On Friday and Saturday, the 101st Airborne Division Command Parachute Demonstration Team—a.k.a. the “Screaming Eagles”—will display their aerial prowess above an enthralled crowd. Don’t miss this unique Baton Rouge event! Visit laballooning.com for more information and the full schedule.
