Hear Richard Buckner’s latest songs early live next week
Intimate and lovely are two adjectives that routinely pop up when describing Richard Buckner’s music. The singer-songwriter just released Surrounded, an album that Buckner quickly recorded in his house with just a few pieces of gear. Unlike the recording and re-recording of his previous album Our Blood, Buckner’s latest captures his newfound urgency while maintaining a stripped-down sound. Buckner will perform at Mud and Water on Monday. Clay Parker and David Berkeley will open. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. The show starts at 9 p.m.
