Hear local musicians tackle Neil Young
Locals perform one of Neil Young’s greatest albums in the latest edition of Royal Cyclops’ Drop the Needle concert series. Baton Rouge’s own Lee Barbier, Melissa Wilson, John Tracy and many more will come together to perform Young’s Harvest from start to finish Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Chelsea’s Café. The 1972 album features some of Young’s finest moments, including the oft-covered “Heart of Gold,” “Old Man” and “The Needle and the Damage Done.” The recording is considered one of the greatest albums of all time, according to Rolling Stone, and one of the more recognizable albums of Young’s prolific output.
