The Baton Rouge Blues Foundation celebrates local talents who have left their mark on the city and the genre. The 2014 Baton Rouge Blues Gala kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Capitol Park Museum (660 N. Fourth St.). The event honors Robert “Pete” Williams, Otis “Lightin’ Slim” Hicks, Jimmy Dotson and Leslie “Lazy Lester” Johnson. There will also be a memorial tribute to Tabby Thomas, music from Henry Gray performing on the piano, a silent auction, a tour of Capitol Park Museum’s “Louisiana Dance Hall” exhibit and a jam with Chris Thomas King.
