Heads up: Fęte Rouge returns next month
Taste the best of Baton Rouge at next month’s Fęte Rouge. The event kicks off Thursday, Aug. 21, at L’Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge with a seven-course wine dinner honoring Grace “Mama” Marino Lifetime Achievement Award winner Jay Campbell. The event starts at 6 p.m., and dinner is served at 7 p.m. The event includes live entertainment, and tickets are $200 per person.
The award is given to individuals from the Baton Rouge food, beverage and restaurant industries who have served the community and helped advance its gastronomic culture. Campbell is the CEO of Associated Grocers.
Festivities continue Friday, Aug. 22, with the Food & Wine Fęte at 7 p.m., featuring more than 200 wines and a roster of Louisiana chefs putting their talents to the test. Tickets are $75 per person. The main event includes live entertainment and a silent auction.

An exclusive Fęte du Vin will also be hosted that Friday at 6 p.m., giving patrons the opportunity to sample elite wines from around the world. Only 100 tickets are available at $200 per person.
