Heads up: Capital Chefs’ Showcase
Interested in a smorgasbord of fine eats from Baton Rouge’s top eateries? Then grab a ticket to Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge’s 31st Annual Capital Chefs’ Showcase, held on Sept. 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the Baton Rouge River Center.
The event corrals A-list local culinary hot shots to help support the mission of improving life for those living with cancer. Guests are treated to a continuous cocktail buffet featuring more than 30 top area chefs, an open bar, silent and live auctions and live entertainment by The V-Tones.
This year, LSU Head Baseball Coach Paul Mainieri and wife Karen are teaming with founder and CEO of Raising Cane’s Todd Graves and wife Gwen to serve as honorary event chairs.

A live auction features prizes such as a day with Project Runway All Stars Winner Anthony Ryan Auld, a ‘take home chef’ experience with local food blogger Jay Ducote and dinner at L’Auberge 18 Steak with Coach Mainieri and Coach Skip Bertman.
Participating restaurants in the tasting include Beausoleil, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Heirloom Cuisine, Juban’s, Le Creole, Mansurs on the Boulevard, Mike Anderson’s Seafood, Roberto’s River Road Restaurant, Serranos Salsa Company, Stroubes Seafood & Steaks and others.
