Head to Kids’ Lab for chemistry fun

The Louisiana Art & Science Museum hosts a “hair-raising experiment” this month as part of its Kids’ Lab programming. In the August activity, participants will observe and compare properties of matter. For the grand finale, the young chemists and scientists will create their own bottle of scented hair gel. Each participant will also receive a cool backpack with surprises inside. This weekend’s Kids’ Labs take place Saturday at 10:15 a.m., noon and 2 p.m., and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. The event is suitable to children ages 6-12.
