Have a ‘ball’ with Aveda

Local Aveda salons Paris Parker, Adagio, Avery Lane and the Aveda Institute are throwing their annual Water Ball at the Varsity, an event designed to raise funds and awareness for protecting local waterways. A Krewe of Water Ball consisting of local environmental leaders will help emcee the event, escorted by fashion models dressed thematically for the occasion. Musical variety act The Flamethrowers will provide the night’s rockin’ soundtrack, and guests can bid on cool silent auction items. Tickets are $40. Saturday, 8 p.m. to 12 p.m. varsitytheatre.com
