Hansel and Gretel free at the River Center

Opéra Louisiane will present the classic tale of Hansel and Gretel opera-style, free to the public on Sunday at the Baton Rouge River Center Theater. The performance will feature outstanding Louisiana singing artists, 21 dancers from the Dance Center and School for the Performing Arts, a dozen choristers from the Greater Baton Rouge Children’s Chorus and the Opéra Louisiane orchestra. Set in Acadiana, this opera has a Cajun twist and will be sung in English with supertitles. 2:30 p.m.
