‘Hairspray’ takes you back

Travel back in time to 1960s Baltimore as the Baton Rouge Little Theatre tackles the much-loved, sweetly quirky musical Hairspray. Lovable, plus-sized heroine Tracy Turnblad has a passion for dancing that’s larger than life. When she wins a spot on the local TV dance show, though, her life gets complicated as she struggles to unseat the program’s reigning princess, integrate the show and find true love.
