I liked the city from the first time I auditioned here. It felt very bohemian, and I warmed to it instantly. My wife Tianna and my two daughters, Ava and Olivia, are a big concern of mine. I wanted to live where they would be safe, and the girls would get decent schooling.
Our apartment manager Kayla. She told us all the best spots to take our kids for family fun, shopping, culture—you name it.

I’m a big library nerd. The parish libraries have a huge variety to choose from and great programs for kids, too.
It seems that everywhere I go, somebody knows somebody in the film industry either in front of or behind the camera. I talk to everyone about what I do, and I make a connection almost every day.
The incredible amount of film projects here. I was recently cast in a feature film called Angry Little God after my first audition. I’m thrilled. I never had these opportunities in Dallas or Los Angeles.
We really like Boutin’s for its local flavor and fun atmosphere. We ate there on our first visit here and have loved it ever since.
I thought it would be less modern. It’s actually a cool little city with friendly people who take the time to talk to and get to know each other.
The Rockin’ at the Swamp at The Bluebonnet Swamp. It was a fun day for our little family and a great introduction to Baton Rouge.
This is a place where people still know what it means to connect with one another and the environment without losing touch with the times. The best of both worlds.
