Great taste

My style is: Comfortable but contemporary. I always have to be comfortable—working in the restaurant industry and being a mom to a small child—so I am typically in jeans or some kind of denim. I’m an accessories fiend, though. That’s the best way to mix things up in terms of everyday style.

My favorite accessory is: Elizabeth Cole horoscope bracelets and skinny cuffs. I also love the handmade floral headbands and clips by Willy Bea.

My fashion favorite is: Stretchy skinny denim, especially Kasil Jeans or styles I find locally at Denim Library.

My style icon is: Grace Kelly, as a throwback icon. Presently, I would say Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson, though sometimes Hudson can be a little too bohemian for me.

My style is: Vintage and casual. I love wearing things like my mom wore in the 1970s. Time Warp and Noelie Harmon are my go-to places, and Loft 3H has some stuff that looks vintage and is cool.

My favorite accessory is: My “Aunt Jemima” head wraps. Earth tones are good because they match anything. Those are great for cake balling, too, because it keeps my hair out of the way. I am really into birds, too. I have a bird tattoo and bracelets and earrings with birds on them.

My fashion favorite is: A pair of old Levi’s cut-off denim shorts. You can sauce them up with a cute shirt or just go completely comfortable in them.

My style icon is: Kate Hudson. She’s kind of hippy but knows how to style it up. Lately, Gwyneth Paltrow has been rocking my world. She’s not afraid to wear anything, and I like that.

My style is: Comfortable, but with some colors or items—either my shirt or shoes—that pop and really make a statement. Most men are afraid of pastels, but I think they are fun.

My favorite accessory is: Shoes. Right now it is a pair of brown suede Robert Wayne boots. Kenneth Cole shoes are always comfortable, too. And I know it is old school, but whenever I see Stacy Adams shoes, I stop. They are all made well and make a statement that you care about yourself and your appearance. I was wearing square-toed European-style shoes for a long time before a lot of American men started wearing them. People used to call them my “Prince boots.”

My fashion favorite is: Not clothing, but cocoa butter. It moisturizes and keeps the skin tight and fresh, especially in the heat. And I’m clean-shaven up top, so it helps protect the dome.

My style icon is: My father. Growing up, to me, he was an important and powerful man. He started as a janitor but eventually opened his own construction business. His hands were rough, but he always wore Stacy Adams shoes.
