Good day, ‘Sunshine’

Cleaning up the biohazardous messes left behind at crime scenes isn’t exactly a vertical career move, but for Amy Adams’ housekeeper and single mother, it’s the best way to help pay for her son’s private education. The only problem is she needs help. She gets it in the form of her freeloading sister (played by Emily Blunt) in Sunshine Cleaning, out this week on DVD and Blu-ray. The bloom is off Adams’ rose; once high school’s most popular girl, she now watches as her life prospects slowly dim. Can she and her unreliable sister reconcile their differences and work together to make Sunshine Cleaning a success? Alan Arkin and Steve Zahn co-star. Rated R.
