Godspell at LSU Studio Theatre

Swine Palace Theatre and Playmakers of Baton Rouge have partnered up to present the musical Godspell at the Studio Theatre in the LSU Music and Dramatic Arts Building. This classic off-Broadway musical consists of a series of parables based on the Book of Matthew, told by Jesus to a divided community who must learn to heal and work together through faith. Each story is punctuated by a memorable song—hymns set to modern music. Swine Palace actors take the principal roles, while Playmakers cast members round out the chorus. Thursday is a pay-what-you-can performance, followed by $10 ticketed performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Find out more at swinepalace.org.
