‘Go,’ baby
Veteran comedian Adam Sandler has a new comedy out on DVD this week that sees him building a house of lies in an ill advised attempt at impressing the woman of his dreams, the much younger and exponentially more attractive Brooklyn Decker in director Dennis Dugan’s romantic comedy Just Go With It. Not only is Sandler’s schmo pretending to be a married man to up his stock with the ladies, he’s asking others to act as his family when Decker is led to believe he has children with his ex-wife, played by his longtime bud Jennifer Aniston. At first reluctant to abet his ruse, Aniston begins to relish the role, even if it complicates her friendship with Sandler even more. Nicole Kidman and Dave Matthews also guest star as an ultra-cool couple, and Nick Swardson threatens to steal every scene he’s in as Sandler’s ladies’ man pal. Kevin Nealon and Minka Kelly co-star. Rated PG-13.
