Get to love ‘I Love You, Man’ on DVD

That title was once uttered only from man-to-man after the fifth beer and a soul-crushing break-up. The kind where she cheated on you. Twice. But it’s the age of the “bromance,” so I Love You, Man, out on DVD this week, is more like a catch phrase than the bellwether of an emotional breakthrough. Paul Rudd stars as a friendless wonder, finding himself staring down his wedding date with no best man candidates in sight. His fiancée, played by Parks and Recreation’s Rashida Jones, sets him up on a series of “man dates” to find a suitable groomsman. Enter wildcat Jason Segel, whose fast friendship with Rudd causes more than a few kinks in his bride-to-be’s wedding plans. Jon Favreau and Jaime Pressly co-star. Rated R.
