Local filmmaker and hiker Coltin Calloway will premiere his film The Climb to Katahdin this week. Calloway spent the better part of three years compiling footage for his documentary, which premieres Thursday at 7 p.m. at Manship Theatre. He hiked more than 1,700 miles on the Appalachian Trail with his girlfriend, Lindsay Fasic, a makeshift HD camera and their dog. The journey started a few years ago after Calloway and Fasic saw a documentary on Netflix. The couple thought it would be something they would enjoy and planned the trip out to a T.
