Vin Diesel is back as the science fiction hero Riddick. It’s been nearly a decade since Diesel played the troubled protagonist who has permanent night vision and a clean-shaven head at all times. Though The Chronicles of Riddick was a box office disaster, Diesel’s stock has risen with his return to The Fast and the Furious franchise, and timing might be on his side this time around. Riddick follows Diesel’s sci-fi character as he is left for dead on a deserted planet. When he puts out an emergency alert for help, two ships arrive—one full of bounty hunters and the other full of former friends (or foes?). Karl Urban, Dave Bautista and Bokeem Woodbine (!!!) co-star.
