Get back on Trek

William Shatner may still be feigning confusion over being excluded from this splashy reboot of the Star Trek franchise when his friend Leonard Nemoy has an extended cameo as the aged Mr. Spock, but this Friday Lost, Alias and Fringe mastermind J.J. Abrams brings a bold new vision for the starship Enterprise and its crew. Star Trek traces the formative years of Captain Kirk, played by Chris Pine, and his first voyage with a young Spock, played by Heroes’ Zachary Quinto, in a battle against a rogue Romulan played by a tattooed Eric Bana. Keep an eye out for documentary-like lens flares, stellar special effects, a break out performance by Zoe Saldana as Uhura, and of course Nemoy, in this time-bending plot.
