George Winston at Manship

Famed pianist George Winston will visit the Manship Theatre this Monday and Tuesday night, to tickle the ivories with pieces from his melodic seasonal recordings, Vince Guaraldi’s Peanuts pieces, New Orleans R&B piano, stride piano, songs by The Doors and more. Known for his unusual mode of playing—like muting the piano strings with his left hand while he plays with his right, and playing shoeless to dampen the sound his stomping makes as he plays—his is a talent that must be experienced live.
