Geaux for Broke – 2BRokeGuys teams up with local organizations to educate community on hunger
Local adventure seekers on a budget, 2BRokeGuys, have teamed up with the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank and LSU Campus Life to encourage the community to spend less during the work week and give back to those who are hungry.
The week-long program, Geaux for BRoke, ends today. The goal is for locals to only spend $2.25 a day, feeding themselves on that paltry amount along. Those participating are encouraged to them donate an amount or the weekly difference to the food bank.
The program wraps up with a free tailgate party, dubbed Orange is the new BRoke, at The Pelican House Saturday at 2 p.m. For more information, click here. For more information on 2BRokeGuys, click here.
