Galatoire’s Bistro celebrates its first birthday with special menu

It has been one year since Galatoire’s Bistro moved into its Acadian Village location in Baton Rouge. To celebrate the occasion, the fine-dining restaurant will host a three-course menu for $35, starting next Monday, Jan. 27. The special lasts until Friday, Jan. 31. The menu will be offered for lunch and dinner and includes a starter, entrée and dessert course.

The first course options are oysters en brochette, turtle soup, an iceberg wedge salad, and a smoked Gulf fish croquette. The second course features Gulf fish meuničre amandine, chicken Clemenceau, pistachio-encrusted salmon, grilled Gulf fish and sautéed Gulf shrimp. The desserts are bęte noir and bread pudding.
Suggested wine pairings will also be offered by the glass or bottle for an additional fee. Lunch is served daily, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Dinner is served 5:30 p.m.-10 p.m. For more information or to make a reservation, call 753-4864. —Matthew Sigur
