Plenty of Baton Rouge bars offer the sturdy classic that is the Old Fashioned. Built on bourbon or rye whiskey, sugar, bitters and a lemon or orange twist, the cocktail is a discussion starter for purists. However, a few Capital City bars offer clever twists on the drink that are just as worthy of a slow, contemplative sip.
