From 225: Shake it up

Is it dessert? Is it beer? Can’t it just be both? Leroy’s (Map it!) prides itself on “shaked” dishes like fried chicken or beignets—besides down-home comfort food favorites like smothered pot roast and skillet corn bread. But it’s the Beer Shakes, something mostly unheard of in Baton Rouge, that tend to pique everyone’s interests. Eight different beer and ice cream combinations ($6 each), all topped with a towering dollop of whipped cream, make for a nostalgic and adult version of an ice cream parlor milkshake.
