From 225: A look at Galatoire’s Bistro

On a warm Friday evening, 225 restaurant reviewer D.J. Beauticia and a couple of friends headed out to Galatoire’s Bistro (Map it! ). Though the restaurant screams fine dining, Beauticia was disappointed to see patrons in blue jeans and baseball caps. Galatoire’s acoustics weren’t inviting either, as the dining room was crowded and deafeningly loud. Regardless of those cons, the food was a home run. Dishes such as the duck crępe appetizer and the Gulf Crabmeat Yvonne were highlights that took Beauticia’s attention back to the positives of this recently re-established restaurant.
