Former LSU great expands ‘C’mon Man’ seasonings line

On the football field, Charles Alexander was known for slicing and dicing defenses with his stellar running game with the LSU Tigers. In the kitchen, he slices and dices just about everything, and launched his own line of spicy seasoning, dubbed “C’mon Man,” last spring.

With the success of his all-purpose Cajun seasoning, he recently launched a line of C’mon Man hot sauce, fish fry and crab boil. You can find his products at the Ralph’s Market locations on Jones Creek Road and in Gonzales as well as Calvin’s Bocage Market.

Though he now calls Houston home, Alexander credits his time at LSU as the place where he got his food knowledge.

“LSU is where I learned how to cook,” he says. “Being at different functions, I learned from asking the people who I thought were pretty good. Then, I’d go home and try to apply it. I’ll cook any and everything. I like to fool around in the kitchen a little bit.”

You can get more information on the products at the C’mon Man website. —Matthew Sigur
