Thanks to the efforts of Navy SEAL Team 6, director Kathryn Bigelow, the Oscar winner behind The Hurt Locker, had to throw out her entire script for the film she was developing about the unsuccessful hunt for the 9/11 mastermind.
Now, this month sees the arrival of Zero Dark Thirty—military slang for 30 minutes after midnight—Bigelow’s reworked military and espionage thriller detailing the decade-long search and ultimate killing of bin Laden.
