Firehouse Subs opens Friday

The Red Stick will have another sandwich shop by the end of this week.

Firehouse Subs will open its first Baton Rouge location Friday at 5140 Corporate Blvd., in the same shopping center as Red Door Interiors and Subway. Firehouse will be open seven days a week, 10:30 a.m.-9 p.m.

The sandwich shop is known for its stacked sub sandwiches and authentic firehouse setting, filled with firefighter memorabilia. Some of the customer favorites include the Hook & Ladder, a turkey and honey ham sub smothered in Monterey jack cheese; the New York Steamer, a corned beef and pastrami sandwich with melted provolone; and the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket. If you’re absolutely starving, the large specialty subs boast a half-pound of meat.
