Fans may never have dreamed of a PG-13 Terminator flick without Arnold, but this post-Apocalyptic sequel set in the near future looks like it could revive the action franchise—with a helping hand from the Lena Headey-led series The Sarah Connor Chronicles—after Terminator 3’s lukewarm reception. And in the interest of full-disclosure, the image of Arnold’s original terminator does make a brief cameo here. Batman Christian Bale steps into the role of the adult John Connor who leads a ragtag militia of humans fighting to survive against their robotic overlords of Skynet. In his battle he is joined by Sam Worthington’s mysterious amnesiac Marcus Wright. Together they infiltrate Skynet and attempt to stop the machines from wiping out humanity all together.
