Baton Rouge’s premier food and wine event returns and the crowd is expected to be bigger than ever this year. The Baton Rouge Epicurean Society’s annual Fęte Rouge kicks off Friday at 6 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza (Map it!). The event features more than 200 wines as well as a laundry list of local chefs competing to see who can prepare the best dishes. Proceeds from the event benefit local childhood health and nutrition programs. Fęte Rouge will also feature live entertainment and a silent auction. Tickets are $50 in advance and can be purchased here, or for $65 at the door. For a full preview of Fęte Rouge, read Maggie Heyn Richardson’s article here.
